My new camera is on it's way.  I'm so excited!  It's a Canon EOS Rebel XSi 12.2 MP... I notice that lots of you use Canon's, I think I made the right choice.  Any advice would be greatly apprectiated!  Thanks!

YEAH!!! :excited:  American Express just came through!!!  They credited me for my camera that was stolen.  So it's decision time!  Thank you all for your help, comments, feedback and support on helping me to decide what camera to get.  Unfortunately, I just read a bad review on the Canon 50D, basically, like I've been told, the main advantage would be a few more mega pixels, that really aren't even that great of quality according to the review.  so, I am going to go with the XSi again!  I love that camera and it will completely suit my needs and it comes with 2 Image Stabil

All the elements work together - the lines created by the mountains, sky, clouds, trees, the colors, but the best thing is the composition. If you look at the birds on the water, it's like a director said, "ok, a little to the right...now stay right there." Of course you can't do that, so the beauty is in the artist's recognition

Brian :icono0oluxo0o:  took the time today to call around and find one in a local shop so that we could go pick it up today!!  Thank you so much!!  :love:  After playing with their display for a whole, umm, 2 minutes, the purchase was made and within 10 minutes we walked out of the store with my new toy.  I think the sales lady was partial to Nikons though, she sent me away with my sweet purchase in a big Yellow bag with Nikon all over it :puk

Could you do me a favor and give this a critique :thumb160019030:

I've recently had several of my works declined from one particular group and this is one of the pieces.  The reason I got was because the sky was blown out and it takes away from the image.  The sky is the way it is because it was a cloudy day (super white clouds) and the dark patch you see is the only blue sky.  I used a circular polarizer filter and thought even with the white sky that this image came out pretty good and that black and white works well.  Let me know what you think and if you could give me any h

One thing guaranteed in life is that things are always changing!  Lots going on with me lately including changes, some good, some bad, some I have chosen to make, some have been chosen for me, but all the same, I will embrace each and every one of them and keep the good and hopefully learn from the bad :)

I have been published in a magazine!!! It's very exciting to me and I wanted to share with you!  The magazine is called FOTO-VIDEO Digital and it is out of Romania... I am in this month's (December 2010) issue! 10 pages in the magazine and 15 of my images were chosen!  I feel so very honored!  Here is what the page layout looks like, I am waiting for my copies to arrive and will share more when they do! :woohoo: :heart:

:heart: :heart: :heart:  It's already February!  I just finished watching my Packers (yes, they are mine :giggle:) win the Super Bowl!  Brett sure did teach Aaron well!!! What a great game, I spent it with great friends :iconkayaksailor:, :iconcaitiekabob: and Bryan!! And of course we ate too much :hungry:

This is a bitter sweet month for me, it has a sad start as February 3rd in the anniversary of my brother's death.  He was only 33 when he passed away due to complications from an auto accident from years before.  This was the 5th year we have gone without him and he is missed more and mor

Just a quick journal to say hello!  It's kind of crazy how fast things can change!  My grandson turned 1 the other day and I think I am still in shock, he is such an amazing child and has truly been one of the best babies ever (besides my 3 kids :giggle:) !!!  

So here we are in March!  Spring is just around the corner and the trees and flowers are already blossoming!  I can't wait for Spring images but I'm not quite ready to give up on Winter!  This has been one of the most enjoyable Winter's I have ever experienced, thank you YOSEMITE!!
